Always turn on the backyard lights before blindly going to shoo away the vermin in the recyle bag you were too lazy to take out in the cold to the garage.
I guess Toronto has a fair population of skunks in addition to raccoons.
Crap, I am glad I looked and didn't let the cat out the door. Bad news, the sucker just might live under the deck.
