I cannot believe we became parents five years ago tomorrow. It is amazing to think all that has happened in the past five years - almost all of it spectacularly good. We have been very blessed with this little girl.
I keep telling husband that she is my little mirror image. We don't necessarily look alike other than the colour of hair and the little freckles on her cheeks (she is all my husband) but we share the same interests - horses, medical shows, books. It will be interesting to see how she develops whether she keeps my path of interests.
She has already opened her birthday presents - a new dress (loves it ... OK, not quite the same as me!), a horse figurine that caught her eye at the toy store and a Leapster from my parents (LOVES that thingy - shocking how quickly she picked it up!) She will celebrate at school tomorrow with a pink cake (they get to choose the colour of cake) and will also decide on the kid's dinner tomorrow night (favorite meal - orange macaroni, aka Kraft Dinner!).
